IDLA Vision
서울대학교 조경학과 통합설계.미학연구실(idla; Integrated Design and Landscape Aesthetics)은 “조경은 자연과 문화의 접점을 확장하는 삶의 예술”이라는 비전을 가지고 조경 이론과 설계, 조경 미학과 비평 사이의 다각적 함수를 구축하고 있는 젊은 싱크 탱크이자 디자이너 풀이다.
idla는 조경설계, 조경이론, 현대조경(사)론, 조경미학, 조경비평, 환경미학을 아우르는 연구의 장에 비판적이고 실험적인 앵글로 접근하면서 통합적 설계 사고와 그 실천의 방법론을 탐구한다. idla는 조경.건축.도시를 아우르는 통합적 이론과 설계 실천 전략의 하나로 랜드스케이프 어바니즘landscape urbanism에 주목한다. idla는 다수의 출판 및 대안적 네트워크 활동을 통해 조경의 지평을 확장하고 사회적 쟁점을 생산한다.
최근에는 용산 미군기지 공원화 구상, 행정중심복합도시 경관계획, 행정중심복합도시 중앙녹지공간 국제설계공모 관리, 마곡 워터프론트 국제현상공모 지침 작성, 광교신도시 호수공원 국제설계공모 관리, 영월 정양선 폐선부지 문화공원화 계획, 동탄2신도시 호수공원 설계공모 관리, 용산공원 종합기본계획, 용산공원 설계 국제공모 진행 등 통합적 디자인 프랙티스에 적극적으로 참여하면서 이론과 실천의 교집합을 확장하고 있다.
idla의 문은 조경 이론과 실천의 행복한 만남을 꿈꾸는 이들에게 열려 있다. IDLA는 그들의 문제의식, 비평정신, 실험정신을 정련하는 토양이다.
The Integrated Design and Landscape Aesthetics Lab(IDLA) in Seoul National University, embodied with its vision that “landscape architecture is a living art that expands the contacts of nature and culture,” aims to construct multifaceted functions between landscape theory and design, and between landscape aesthetics and criticism. IDLA focuses on the landscape urbanism as a theoretical and practical strategy of integrated environment design that encompass landscape architecture, architecture, and urbanism. IDLA extends its prospect of landscape architecture through a number of publications and alternative network activities, and strives to produce social issues.
